Yorkshire Water
Yorkshire Water’s old performance management approach didn’t fit with the new strategic ambition and behaviours introduced in 2020. Yorkshire Water’s ambition was to target improved organisational health – the ability to improve, sustain and renew performance over time.
Internal research gave them a rich view of what was happening and what colleagues wanted. Continuous Performance Development would disrupt legacy cultural norms, raise the floor on performance and enable Yorkshire Water’s modernisation agenda to begin to take effect.

We have found at Azesta that making use of experiential techniques helps people to enjoy their time in training. It gets them up, gets them moving and gets them having fun. This different approach seems to have paid off with the participants at Yorkshire Water as their enjoyment lead to a fabulous recommendation score for all to see.

These techniques also have a remarkable effect on information retention; working in direct alignment our mission, to share these techniques with the world and provide the best value that we can.
This was evidenced by the vast majority of the participants at Yorkshire Water feeling ready to go with the new approach in
Talking Performance.
Although most of the credit for business progression definitely goes to the team in Talking Performance, it is always useful to see the latter impact of the delivery and approach policies put forward in training.
